ArchBridge for Overdenture

ArchBridge for Overdenture is a digital scanning system built specifically for overdenture cases. It utilizes the geometries of six reusable titanium scan-bodies to capture attachment position as digital data, so that the overdenture housings are accurately placed in the lab rather than at the practice.

This solution is the only universal digital overdenture solution that is compatible with all existing overdenture systems including Zest, Preat and

ROE began this project after repeatedly receiving overdenture cases in which the attachment position could not be confidently determined from the submitted data.

Rather than adapt an existing scan body, we designed the geometry around the attachment itself. That's why ArchBridge for Overdentures uses six distinct patent-pending forms rather than one — each recognizable to the scanner and seatable in any space.

    No chairside pickup

Attachment position transfers digitally, so ROE places the LOCATOR housings under controlled laboratory conditions. No intraoral acrylic, no block-out, and no rework if a housing binds or a spacer shifts during cure.

    Six unique designs

Apollo, Bixby, Chaumont, Dragon, Hellgate, and Rialto span the arch in a way that avoids scanner confusion and works around limited space, ridge form, and adjacent anatomy.

    Textured titanium surface

A defined sandblasted scanning surface reduces reflection and supports reliable optical capture. Each scan body is cleaned and steam-sterilized between patients rather than discarded.

    Direct 1:1 interface

Interfaces directly with Zest LOCATOR and LOCATOR FIXED platforms through the Zest Processing Spacer — the only single-use component in the intraoral sequence.

Implant-supported overdentures provide predictable improvements in retention, stability, function, and patient satisfaction compared with conventional complete dentures. However, conventional prosthetic workflows may require multiple impressions, casts, jaw relation records, and laboratory procedures. Although digital dentistry has simplified many restorative procedures, complete-arch implant scanning remains challenging because edentulous arches provide limited stable landmarks for image stitching.

This article describes the clinical application of the ArchBridge™ digitally integrated workflow system as a fully digital, model-free workflow for fabrication of an implant-supported overdenture that can be utilized as a removable or fixed prosthesis.
