Course Description

As the number of patients receiving full-arch implant rehabilitation continues to grow, clinicians are increasingly encountering complex restorative and surgical complications requiring revision treatment.

This one-hour educational webinar explores the systematic evaluation, treatment planning, and management of failed or compromised full-arch implant rehabilitations. Topics include identifying the underlying causes of failure, assessing existing implant positions and restorative limitations, determining when implants can be salvaged, and recognizing when additional bone reduction or remote anchorage may be necessary.

Through real-world clinical cases, participants will explore how digital workflows, guided surgery, and prosthetically driven treatment planning can facilitate predictable revision strategies while minimizing unnecessary surgical intervention. The objective is to provide clinicians with a practical framework for managing challenging full-arch revisions and restoring function, esthetics, and patient confidence.

Course Objectives

  • Evaluate failed full-arch cases by identifying biological, mechanical, and prosthetic complications and gathering CBCT, scans, and restorative, transition-line, and phonetic assessments.

  • Develop revision strategies that separate salvageable cases from those needing implant removal, bone reduction, or full reconstruction.

  • Apply guided digital workflows using GuidedSMILE protocols to improve implant positioning, guide stability, and outcomes in compromised cases.

  • Address complex anatomy by recognizing when alternative implant positioning, zygomatic or pterygoid anchorage, or soft-tissue management is needed.
