ROE Dental Laboratory, has been building successful long-term partnerships with dentists since 1926. The laboratory began with Mr. Roe Miller and in 1978 the laboratory changed hands to Mr. Bruce Kowalski. Fast forward to 2001, Bruce's son, BJ Kowalski, who had been involved since an early teenager, took over the family business and has been implementing a philosophy of progressive laboratory engagement ever since.

BJ works diligently to set and maintain the high standards of quality and professionalism that are the hallmark of ROE Dental Laboratory. Together with our talented and experienced staff, he makes certain we are continuously improving the art and science of the restorations and appliances delivered from ROE. He never lets the ROE team forget that our customers are the reason we're here - that our success depends upon the success of the clients we serve. 


Gregg has more than two decades of experience in his position in charge of the day-to-day operation of the laboratory. In communicating and case consultation with our clients Gregg is always seeking to incorporate our customers needs into the restorations we produce.



Joe enhances the organization with his 3 decades of technical expertise. Joe oversees the success of all of our technical services in addition to seeing that all implant and attachment cases are successfully restored. He is also in charge of our educational program working with our staff to advance our collective skills and knowledge.



Mark is responsible for customer satisfaction and communicating technical observations and questions to many of our clients ensuring the success of each and every case. Mark is always available to discuss restorative options and treatment plans. Mark also manages our office team ensuring that all of our work is picked-up, fabricated and delivered to our clients on or before the expected due date.



Lori joined ROE in 1993. She was a Dental Assistant for 3 years and quickly became a skilled ceramist. Following her many years working in our high-tech environment, she was promoted to Team Leader of our ever-evolving 3D Printing and CAM Milling Department, a demanding position in which she excels.



Sarah received her dental training as a Surgical Technician in the United States Air Force. For more than a decade following, she worked as the lead chairside ST for several Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons in a group practice. Her firsthand clinical experience, particularly surgical implant placement and dental knowledge, provide a unique skill set to interface with, as well as provide customer support to our many CBCT doctors. Sarah combines dental laboratory technology with surgical expertise in this niche of our business.



John is also responsible for customer satisfaction and communicating technical observations and questions to our clients to ensure the success of each and every case. John's many years of working in the laboratory allows him to offer restorative options and treatment plans which help you and your patients achieve your desire treatment goals.



George is assigned to a group of dentists and is responsible for their satisfaction. He communicates technical observations and questions to our clients to ensure the success of each and every case. George has many years of experience working in the laboratory as a technician. This hands-on background is valuable for case evaluation and communication.


Fred Kinsey C.D.T., TECHNICAL CONSULTANT  Ext. 347

Since 2000 Fred has served the dental community. During 12 of these years he owned and managed a full service laboratory in Eastern Ohio. Fred was introduced to dentistry early, as his father, grandfather, and an uncle are all dentists. Fred has the ability, based on years of working very closely with clients, the knowledge and expertise to support the many dentist with whom he is assigned.



Jason has recently completed a 22 year career in the US Army. While in the Army he served in the dental field since 1996 in many capacities including being a Dental Laboratory Technician and earning his CDT in 2005. He has also been a Dental Clinic Manager, dental assistant and dental supply technician just to name a few of his positions. He enjoys spending time with his family when he is not here at ROE.  


Michael Abbruzzo, C.D.T. , TECHNICAL CONSULTANT  Ext. 310

Mike ia Certified Dental Technician with 30+ years experience in all areas of dental laboratory technology, including removable and fixed prosthetics, implants and orthodontics. Mike has worked for national laboratories and product companies, in the areas of production, management, quality control, product development, and education and was an operations specialist for the clinical laboratories of a national chain of dental offices. He is also available, as one of ROE’s clinical All-On-Four Specialists to assist with day-of-implant placement surgery for the conversion of a removable prosthesis into a provisional bridge – one of ROE’s rapidly growing areas of expertise.


JOHN OPET C.D.T., Crown & Bridge Department Manager (with ROE since 1977)

John has been a dedicated department manager for many years. He has trained through both the LVI Institute and The Dawson Academy. His skill and attention to detail has been a great value to our laboratory and the many people who surround him.

On a personal note, John met his wife at ROE and they have 4 wonderful children who we've followed to adulthood.


KELLY PALMER C.D.T., Emax Department Manager

Kelly has been a team member since 2002. His focus has always been ceramics. He has a Master of Fine Arts Degree and brings an artist's sensibility and training to ROE's aesthetic anterior team.

He is passionate about his work, manages a great team of ceramists, and is fortunate to be able to work every day with his wife Amanda, another gifted ROE technician.



JOE ROYER C.D.T., Removable Department Manager

Joe has been a team member since he was a teenager (since 1994). His incredible knowledge, experience and work-ethic have thrust our removable services far into the 21st century. Joe manages our incredible digital apparatus as well as the designs and fabricates custom, hand-crafted prosthetics.


MARCO JACINTO C.D.T., CAD/CAM Department Manager 

Marco has served the dental community since 1995 in all aspects of C&B. He served in the Air Force Dental Laboratory from 1995-1999. He has been a Certified Dental Technician since April 4, 2008. And he is a terrific person to work with.



Jason is the manager of ROE’s nationally recognized CBCT Surgical Guide department. Through his leadership, his team is always on the bleeding edge of implant guided dentistry. Jason has developed systems and protocols that allow our laboratory to work with nearly all implant companies and clinical protocols. Contact him with your specific needs.


ALAN BANKS, VP Sales & Customer Relations  Ext. 306

Alan wears many hats at ROE. As Marketing Director he ensures that our clients are informed of the many services and products ROE offers. Alan also coordinates continuing education courses and seminars, co-writes our ROE Reports newsletter, contributes to technical support and office communication, maintains our online resources, and much more. Director of Quality Engineering and Regulatory Compliance 

Prior to joining ROE, Marc was a quality and engineering leader in consumer electronics, alternative energy and chemical processing industries in North America, Europe and Asia.  He is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational excellence, a Certified Quality Auditor and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  Marc was named an ASQ Fellow in 2013 for decades of outstanding leadership in quality, continuous improvement, nanotechnology, sustainability, and workforce development. Marc’s MBA is from Baldwin-Wallace University and his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He is a named inventor on 8 international patents and a voting member of two ASTM Standards Committees. He is very proud of his three children, two at Purdue and one at Alabama.
