What is the NobelProcera Implant Bridge, and how is it different from a traditional titanium-base hybrid?

The NobelProcera® Implant Bridge is a premium fixed, screw-retained full-arch restoration representing over 12 years of refined full-arch technology. Rather than building a prosthesis on top of separate titanium bases bonded with cement, NobelProcera uses a direct-to-implant approach: a precision-milled zirconia framework that engages the implants through Nobel's proprietary angulated screw channel technology.

In its latest 3.0 iteration, Nobel has perfected a cement-free delivery protocol, and ROE fabricates the restoration on a DOCERAM Nacera® Pearl Zirconia substructure finished with MiYO® liquid porcelain in 10 precisely matched VITA shades.

The core philosophical difference is retention through engineering, not adhesion. NobelProcera relies on a preload engineering philosophy, achieving stability through controlled screw tension (mechanical retention) instead of depending on cement bonds. Nobel has used this cement-free fit since 2007: at implant-level sites the bridge engages through a friction-fit metal adapter rather than a cemented titanium base (see FAQ 5). That single design choice removes several of the failure modes clinicians most often see with conventional titanium-base hybrids:

Traditional titanium-base failure mode How NobelProcera addresses it
Titanium-base complications and component delamination The direct-to-implant interface removes the separate titanium base entirely.
Cement failures and washout A fully cement-free protocol relies on controlled screw tension rather than adhesive bonds.
Cracked or sheared titanium cylinders Eliminating the bonded cylinder removes the catastrophic failure that can compromise an entire restoration.

In short, NobelProcera is positioned for clinicians who want a highly esthetic, durable, retrievable full-arch bridge with fewer of the mechanical and biological vulnerabilities of cement-retained, titanium-base designs.
