What are the technical specifications and material test results for ForceField™?

ForceField is fabricated from KeyGuard® Sportguard Resin, a proprietary formulation selected for impact resistance and durability under intense athletic use. The material has been characterized using recognized ASTM and ISO test methods, and it has passed the full panel of biocompatibility tests.

What these numbers mean in practice:

  • The high tear strength and elongation at break indicate the guard resists tearing and can flex under load without failing, which supports a longer service life during contact sports.
  • The impact strength and impact resistance values reflect the appliance's ability to absorb and dissipate energy from blows, the core purpose of a sports guard.
  • A Shore hardness of 75 to 90 A places ForceField firmly in ROE's hard guard category, distinguishing it from soft or semi-soft appliances such as miniComfort™.
  • Passing ISO 10993 cytotoxicity, sensitization, and irritation testing confirms the resin is suitable for intraoral wear.
