What are the components and specifications of Passivity Plus™?

What are the materials, components, specifications, and key innovations of Passivity Plus™?

Passivity Plus™ is engineered from premium Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6AL-4V-ELI), the same biocompatible alloy trusted in medical implants. Its compact, four-piece design integrates several patented innovations to deliver a passive, stress-free fit.

The Four Components

Component Function
Base body Connects to the multi-unit abutment; contains a 5° internal taper
Pivotable adjustable cap Receives prosthesis cement; self-adjusts during seating, then locks when torqued
Screw One-piece design with a 5° body taper and smooth surface; creates the cold weld
Washer Flexible element around the screw head; the key patent innovation

Key Innovations

Innovation Function
Pivotable self-adjusting cap Compensates for minor misfits during prosthesis seating
Conical cold-welding screw 5° taper creates a cold weld at 25 N·cm, eliminating screw loosening
Patented washer design Prevents re-centering during torque, preserving the adjusted position
