Ill-fitting immediately loaded denture Move the patient into a permanent prosthetic using the digital workflow

Clinical considerations:

  • For immediate cases, if the denture does not seat after extractions, options include a post-healing reline or making a new denture using the reference-denture protocol.
  • The digital design controls fit closely. ROE notes that digital dentures fit so well that post dams are no longer used.
  • Accurate bite registration and well-defined borders captured chairside reduce the likelihood of needing a reset, as reflected in clinician feedback.
