What treatments and appliances is the miniComfort compatible with?
The miniComfort is compatible with a wide range of restorations and appliances.
| Used with | Notes |
|---|---|
| Implant-supported or implant-retained restorations | Ideal for all implant cases. Restorative materials may be nearly indestructible, but implant screws, fixtures, restorations, and opposing teeth are all still subject to parafunctional forces. |
| Removable dentures and partials | Yes. With full dentures worn overnight, broader discluding elements placed slightly distal to the upper canines shift forces more posteriorly and reduce trauma to the anterior maxillary ridge. With partials, the elements interact with the maxillary canines as usual. |
| Post-orthodontic retainers (Hawley, clear, bonded wire) | Yes. Its soft nature is ideal with lower bonded retainers. Exceptions: if the orthodontist objects, or if the existing Hawley has an anterior deprogrammer. |
| CPAP devices | Yes. Many CPAP users still clench during sleep, and the minimal vertical opening allows lip continence. |
