What patient records do I need to submit for a CLEARguard™ case?

CLEARguard accepts either of the following records:

Record type Notes
IOS scan (intraoral scan) Accepted on its own. An IOS-only submission generally moves through the lab faster
Master cast A physical model can be submitted in place of, or alongside, a digital scan

Important capture requirement: the lower record must include the labial vestibule. Because CLEARguard is fabricated for the lower arch, capturing the full lower arch and the labial vestibule helps ensure an accurate, well-fitting appliance and reduces the chance of a remake.

A turnaround consideration: as shown in the specifications comparison, an IOS scan only can shorten the days in lab (for example, 2 days versus 3 days for the Hard and Semi-Soft options) compared with cases submitted with master casts. If speed matters for a given patient, a clean digital scan is the most efficient path.
