What is the workflow and turnaround time for a CLEARguard™ case?

CLEARguard uses a fully digital design and manufacturing workflow. After ROE receives your records, the splint is digitally designed and 3D-printed from biocompatible resin, a process that produces consistent, predictable results and removes the variables tied to traditional splint fabrication.

A typical case flows as follows:

  1. Capture records. Take an IOS scan or prepare a master cast, making sure the lower includes the labial vestibule.
  2. Submit the case. Send records through the Send a Case page or the online case portal, and select your CLEARguard option.
  3. Digital design and printing. ROE designs and 3D-prints the appliance.
  4. Delivery and seating. You receive the finished guard and seat it for the patient, with minimal adjustment expected.

Turnaround time. Days in lab range from 2 to 4 business days depending on the option and the records you submit:

Option Days in lab
Hard (IOS scan only) 2
Semi-Soft (IOS scan only) 2
Hard (with master casts) 3
Semi-Soft (with master casts) 3
Hard with Memory Liner 4

These figures reflect time in the lab only and do not include shipping. To plan an accurate patient return appointment, use ROE's Case Delivery Calculator, which factors in shipping time to your location.
