What is the ForceField™ workflow, and how do I submit a case?

ForceField is designed around a digital workflow that eliminates traditional impression materials and thermoforming. This reduces chair time, removes lab pour-up and forming steps, and produces a precise, repeatable result.

The general process is:

  1. Capture the records. Take a digital intraoral scan of the arch to be protected (upper or lower). Because the workflow is digital, you avoid traditional impression putty and thermoforming.
  2. Submit the case to ROE. Use one of ROE's submission tools:
  3. Specify the prescription. Indicate the arch (upper or lower), the sport (which guides the recommended thickness), and the color preference. Reference forms are on the Instructions, Rx's & Forms page.
  4. ROE designs and 3D prints the guard from KeyGuard® Sportguard Resin.
  5. Delivery. The finished guard ships back to your practice. The published time in lab is 2 to 4 days, not counting shipping. Estimate arrival with the Case Delivery Calculator.

A few workflow notes:

  • If your intraoral scanner is not yet connected to ROE, follow the steps to connect your IOS to ROE.
  • ROE is a full-service national laboratory, so if you do not scan digitally, contact the lab to confirm how to submit physical records for digitizing before sending a case.
  • For help building or submitting a case, ROE offers Chairside Support.
