What is IPS e.max Monolithic and what is it made from?
IPS e.max Monolithic is a full-contour, all-ceramic restoration crafted from a single piece of lithium disilicate glass-ceramic. "Monolithic" means the restoration is fabricated as one solid block of material with no separate layered porcelain on top. ROE finishes the surface with stain and glaze to achieve the final shade and characterization rather than stacking a weaker veneering porcelain.
Because it is made from one homogeneous material, IPS e.max Monolithic delivers excellent esthetics and durability without the layering step, making it one of ROE's three primary monolithic options alongside zRc Zirconia and TLZ Zirconia with MiYO®.
