What is CLEARaline, and what makes its material and engineering different?

CLEARaline™ ortho aligners are a comfortable, esthetic, and effective solution for treating both anterior and full-arch malocclusion. They are made from a premium thermoformed plastic engineered for a precise fit, ongoing force retention, and exceptional durability. The aligners are nearly invisible and offer improved stain and tear resistance, which helps them stay clear and intact across the wear period.

What sets the material apart is its construction. CLEARaline uses an elastomeric middle layer encased in a dual-shell design. The two outer shells provide structure and durability, while the elastomeric core delivers a consistent, continual force rather than a sharp initial spike that fades. ROE describes this as engineered for the patient's comfort, and ROE's testing at body temperature (98.6°F) supports the goal of maintaining corrective force across the wear period rather than losing it quickly.

Engineering feature What it delivers
Dual-shell construction Structure, durability, and a precise fit.
Elastomeric middle layer Consistent, continual force for patient comfort.
Improved stain and tear resistance Stays clear and holds up better than standard aligner material.
Ongoing force retention Sustained corrective force through the wear period.

CLEARaline integrates with multiple scanner software vendors or can be used with PVS impressions, and ROE's systems make it easy to order, track, and review a case. For a full overview, download the Introduction to CLEARaline eBook.
