What are EZneer zirconia veneers, and when should I choose them?
EZneer is ROE's zirconia veneer solution, built on a veneer-specific, ultra-translucent zirconia rather than the standard zirconia used for crowns and bridges. It gives you a minimally invasive route to anterior esthetics while retaining strength considerably higher than the glass ceramics traditionally used for veneers.
Veneer-specific zirconias have pushed the material past its previous translucency ceiling. That means you no longer have to choose between the strength of zirconia and the optical performance required in the anterior.
Where EZneer performs best
| Clinical situation | Why EZneer fits |
|---|---|
| Minimal or no-prep anterior cases | Ultra-thin veneers of 0.3 to 0.5 mm preserve sound tooth structure while still delivering a full esthetic result. |
| Fluorosis | Strong color-shielding capability masks mottled and opaque enamel that highly translucent materials tend to telegraph. |
| Tetracycline staining | Multilayered shading reduces the influence of a dull or discolored abutment. |
| General discoloration and dark substrates | Masks underlying color where more translucent materials struggle. |
| Patients wanting long-term durability | Flexural strength of 600 MPa or greater, backed by a 2 year warranty. |
Five core clinical benefits
- Minimal preparation. Ultra-thin 0.3 to 0.5 mm veneers preserve tooth structure.
- Superior strength. Flexural strength of 600 MPa or greater exceeds traditional veneer glass ceramics, without sacrificing translucency.
- Effective color masking. Handles fluorosis, tetracycline staining, and discoloration.
- Natural esthetics. Ultra-high translucency with preshaded and multilayered options producing a natural gradient and reducing the need for manual staining.
- Reliable bonding. Surface treatment applied before sintering brings adhesive performance in line with glass ceramics.
