How does the two-phase Ivotion workflow function, from surgery to final?
GuidedSMILE Ivotion is built around a flexible, two-phase approach that lets the patient heal and save toward their long-term restoration.
Phase 1: Day of surgery (immediate)
Using the CHROME GuidedSMILE guided workflow, the patient receives a milled Ivotion prosthesis the day of surgery to heal in. Because the prosthesis is strong, the patient can function on it for an extended period while they save toward their final. ROE notes patients can comfortably remain in this prosthesis for six months, eight months, a year, or longer depending on how long they need.
Phase 2: Transition to the final
When the patient is ready, the doctor sends ROE a set of basic records using the RAPID Appliance protocol from the patented CHROME product. ROE then delivers another milled Ivotion prosthesis as the final, featuring nice tissue adaptation and full function so the patient can eat normally for years.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Surgery | Guided bone reduction, implants, and MUAs; deliver Ivotion prosthesis same day |
| 2. Heal and save | Patient functions on the strong prosthesis for months to a year or more |
| 3. Records | Doctor submits basic records using the RAPID Appliance protocol |
| 4. Final | ROE delivers a final milled Ivotion restoration with refined tissue adaptation |
A useful advantage of this approach is affordable replacement. If a patient wears their prosthesis down and still is not ready for a premium zirconia final, ROE can deliver another milled Ivotion prosthesis from basic records, rather than requiring a costly remake.
GuidedSMILE Ivotion is also compatible with ROE's C2F (Conversion to Final) small-hole technology; see the C2F Ivotion video on the product page and the C2F workflow overview.
