Can ROE fabricate a bone supported guide for my specific implant system, and how is drilling guided?
Yes. ROE can fabricate a surgical guide for any implant system. The most ideal scenario is when you already have a guided drill kit for that system, because you are familiar with the guided protocol and there are fewer questions about your drilling sequence during surgery.
If you do not have a guided surgery kit, ROE offers several options to guide your drilling:
| Option | How it works |
|---|---|
| Keys or spoons + drills | A spoon or key seats into the surgical guide, and the drill is guided by that specific spoon. Multiple spoons and multiple drills can be provided for the same guide. |
| Sleeve-in-sleeve | The guide contains a metal sleeve sized for the largest-diameter drill, with multiple nesting sleeves that step down to different drill diameters for the full drilling protocol. |
| Multiple guides | ROE can print one, two, three, or four guides for a single surgery, taking you through the full drilling sequence until the implant is placed. |
Along with its planning services, ROE provides a drill report with the case. Depending on your implant system, the drill report maps out the full drilling sequence for you.
