Speaker Bio: Dr. Kanyon Keeney

Kanyon R. Keeney, D.D.S. received his D.D.S. and graduated with honors at the Medical College of Virginia in 1984. While at MCV service he served as President of his Class every year and Student Body President in his senior year. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, as well as received the Theodore Glenn Scholarship, Alpha Omega Scholarship Award, and the ASDA Certificate of Service. He was also awarded a legislative externship in Washington by the ADA in his junior year. Dr. Keeney obtained an early externship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at The Jackson Memorial Hospital Trauma Center in Miami.

Dr. Keeney completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1987 where he served as Chief Resident. As a resident, he coauthored several articles in surgery and was the first resident at the University of Pennsylvania to place dental implants.

Today, Dr. Keeney is a partner in Drs. Niamtu, Alexander, Keeney, Harris, Metzger & Dymon, P.C. He maintains a practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a concentration in implant surgery. He has placed several thousand implants in the past twenty years and has attended several hundred hours of additional training and updates in the latest technology in dental implants. He is a Diplomate in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow in the American Association of Oral Surgeons and American Society of Dental Anesthesia and became the first active Board Certified Oral Surgeon in Virginia to become a Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

More than 19 years of experience in Dentistry including 10 years experience as a general Dentist. Assistant professor University of Pittsburgh. Owner of Pittsburgh dental implants and Periodontics a fee for service practice in Pittsburgh suburb. Director of Pittsburgh institute of Dentistry (Pitt.I.D) educational institute running Seattle Study club, ITI study club and hygiene study club. Lectures nationally and internationally on subjects of ceramic implants, pro arch dental implants, digital dentistry, soft tissue grafting and dental marketing and patient management
