iRIS® Digital Laboratory Process

We are proud to launch the iRIS solution, our vision for the present and future of indirect restorative dentistry!

For the first time in dental laboratory history standardization is possible, regardless of the restorative material you prescribe. At ROE, cases pass through a process of precise digital dental design called iRIS (Intelligent Restorative Individualized System). iRIS produces mechanically sound restorations, engineered to your specific parameters. Here’s how it works: all models and dies are scanned and digitally entered into the system; ROE then uses a single design platform to create your restorations with incredible technical sophistication; we analyze margins under 25X digital magnification, create exacting block-out and cement-space relief, reverse-engineer substrates inside virtual final restorations, digitally shape contact points, and balance occlusal contacts in micron increments using virtual articulation. The iRIS solution allows us to produce any fixed restoration: copings for veneering, full-contour crowns and bridges, even restorations on digitally designed implant abutments. Whether it’s an artistically layered PFM or zirconia crown, full contour emax, TLZ, or gold crown, all restorations will be returned with unrivaled consistency because they are designed within the exact same iRIS process, a process that can be specifically catered to your practice.

iRIS is a philosophy of technology-aided-fabrication, where computers ensure accuracy and engineering fundamentals, while technicians focus on esthetics. This all equates to final restorations that seat with confidence and provide long-term patient satisfaction. As good as this sounds, the best of iRIS is yet to come. Once impression material, die stone and manual die trimming are replaced with digital impressions, perfection can be achieved. Digital impressions allow the restorative team to take full advantage of the iRIS process. In 2011 we plan to offer precise and affordable digital impression technology to our clients.

When creating beautiful crowns and bridges, ROE ceramists utilize the latest porcelain systems and techniques available, from Empress Esthetic Cutback Veneering material to direct build-up d.Sign feldspathic porcelain. A minimum of 5 porcelains are used to create each restorations.
To duplicate the imperceptible movement of teeth, all models are equilibrated relieving inclines for maximum intercuspation. In the right hands equilibration means less seating time.
A complete case plan is developed for multiple unit cases including detailed analysis, preoperative wax-ups, advanced articulation, model equilibration, custom guide tables, and labial and incisal matrixes.
Each active crown and bridge client is assigned their own ceramist responsible for understanding their special specific needs. This unique service has proven to add consistency to the restorations we produce.
Our staff has the advanced training and skill in both centric relation and neuromuscular occlusion to systematically accomplish the most demanding treatment objective.
We offer more than crowns with rest seats. Our unipod technique ensures that our multidepartment team fabricates optimal C&B to compliment aesthetically designed removable prosthesis.
One person experienced in all areas of dental technology and clinical techniques communicates with a client. This consistent one-on-one relationship helps us understand practice philosophy and fulfill case objectives.
From computer dispensed die stone to Cynovad CAD/CAM generated C&B substructures we produce restorations fabricated with state-of-the-art technology.
